Clubbing

I've been to far more clubs in the last 6 years than in the rest of my life put together.

You might wonder why that is. Late developer? Deprived childhood? Corrupted by a friend? (Well, that at least is somewhat true!).

I think it's partly that I never had any good reason to go to a club before.  Sure, I loved going out, but to bars and restaurants rather than clubs.  Clubs always felt brash, noisy and a bit unfriendly.  Then one day I discovered that London has one of the biggest fetish club scenes in the world.  I discovered that the best of these clubs are a grown-up playground... especially to someone who has always been attracted to girls wearing shiny things!  And I discovered that the people who go to them are for the most part far more respectful, courteous and laid back than you'll find in "vanilla" clubs.

The first time I went, 8 hours disappeared in what felt like minutes.  I felt truly at home among all those weird, liberated, cool, fancy-dressed people.  And I still do.  I have a degree from Harvard, I sing, play the piano and the viola, I run a company... but I'm never happier than when I'm dancing, partying and playing with my many wonderful and eclectic friends in the scene - both here and overseas.

I give fetish clubbing a separate section because, while it's very closely linked to the more personal side of BDSM, the two are kind of independent.  It's not for everyone... but I'm a good example of "you never know until you try it".  If you're new to the scene and would like to dip your toe in, drop me a note or take a look at the London Fetish Scene website.  There are lots of very friendly people who'd be happy to say hi and show you around.

You can see the events I'll be attending on my events calendar, and I regularly post about where I've been on my blog.

Have fun!
