 This is a setup shot for one of four individual shoots (count 'em!) that I did over a recent weekend at an amazing country house outside London. They were commissioned as flyer images for Club Rub, a very well known London fetish & dance club (I'm doing 6 images in total, to run from July to December this year).
Sadly I can't show you the actual shots until each flyer is released, which is a shame because I think it's some of my/our best work to date... but it gives us something to look forward to :) If anyone is *really* desperate to see the images, let me know and I might be able to help :)
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this teaser shot showing how this particular image was put together. These aren't the actual poses, by the way, lol.
It's a bit strange to share strobist info before the actual image is available (grrrr - it's sooo cool), but this shot involved:
- Smoke machine (darn tricksy things, those - it's all or nothing!)
- Wind machine (chilly if you're wearing a bikini outside!)
- Softbox as a key light (you can see the stand just to the right of the tall tree - the box (and SB800) were hidden behind it, which made the triggering fun. By the time I took this image, I'd actually ditched the softbox and gone with a bare strobe - sometimes I do find I can get a surprisingly soft light that way, and the smoke helped to soften things further :)
- Umbrella with a CTO gel to provide a warming fill on the two monsters
- Flash with Honl barn doors (love Honl stuff) to highlight their faces in a demonic kind of a way
- An SB900 behind Emma in the archway to backlight the smoke.
And that was just one of four shoots!
